Tai Chi Monthly Class @ Soul Synergy Center
Mar 6 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Originating in Ancient China, Tai Chi is a most effective and easy exercise to learn for healing mind and body. While it is a wonderful moving meditation for anyone, this gentle form is an accessible exercise, done all standing, for anyone who suffers from arthritis, fibromyalgia or a stressed-out body.

Studies show Tai Chi meets the medical and fitness authorities’ standards to be an effective exercise for health by improving cardio-vascular fitness, strengthening muscles – keeping joints stable and protected, and increasing flexibility and range of motion – all of which makes us more functional, healthy and active.

Tai Chi also improves posture and balance, reduces stress and promotes relaxation.

This class is suitable for beginners and all levels!

Kirtan Chanting and Bhakti Yoga: Sacred awareness using your voice @ Soul Synergy Center
Mar 15 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Kirtan Chanting and Bhakti Yoga: Sacred awareness using your voice In the Salt Cave!

Yoga instructor Laurel Isbister will lead the group in singing devotional songs in Sanskrit and English.

Start with warming up the voice and body, then learn and practice sacred singing together. In this practice, we learn to use our voices with a focus on emotion and quality of awareness, instead of focus on perfect timing or perfect pitch. Through call and response, each person listens to their voice blend with others and practices a focus on a quality such as loyalty, discernment, heroism or motherly love.

Enjoy a fun and creative atmosphere with time to learn, reflect and share singing with others interested in this path. Bhakti yoga is enjoyed all over the world by those interested in mixing devotional practice with music. You can attend and sing, or listen if that is what you prefer.

No prior vocal experience necessary. Laurel Red earned a Master’s Degree in Music from UCLA with a focus on vocal music and ethnomusicology. She has practiced yoga for close to 30 years and loves teaching music.

Power-Chair Vinyasa Yoga @ Soul Synergy Center
Mar 23 @ 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Have you ever been injured or had a condition where you couldn’t participate in your favorite Flow class? Or as a beginner, jumped into a Flow class that was way over your head? In this workshop, I will show you have to use the chair for balance and leverage so that you can participate in the most rigorous classes. This isn’t a “just sit in the chair and wave your arms granny class” though I teach that too. But this IS for you if you’re not sure if you can down on the floor and get back up.

CEUs offered.
