the first Salt Cave in Mississippi
Welcome to Soul Synergy Center's famous Salt Cave
A salt cave, or salt spa, is a room in which the floor and walls are entirely comprised of Himalayan sea salt. A halogenerator machine is then used to infuse the room with dry salt air that mimics the microclimate of a naturally occurring salt cave. (The salt in our cave comes directly from the salt mines in Pakistan, and is the highest quality salt available!)

How does Salt Therapy/Halotherapy work?
You sit in the salt cave for 45 minutes and breathe in the fine salt particles. Our Salt Generator crushes White Himalayan salt comprised of 99.8% NaCl (Sodium Chloride) into micron-sized dry aerosol particles that are inhaled. The white Himalayan salt has a higher concentration of Sodium Chloride than the Pink Himalayan salt; this is especially beneficial for respiratory health. Both White Himalayan and Pink Himalayan salt particles have anti-inflammatory properties which open the airways and reduce or eliminate mucus from the lungs. The addition of pure Himalayan salt crystals on the walls and floor of the cave further enhances the experience and helps to create a calm and relaxing environment.
Who can benefit from Salt Therapy/Halotherapy?
Anyone can benefit thanks to Halotherapy’s mood and immune enhancing effects. Salt therapy can also be a great benefit to those who suffer from the following conditions: Allergies, Asthma, Acne, COPD, Immune System Deficiencies, Respiratory Conditions, Bronchitis, Cystic Fibrosis, Cold and Flu, Cough, Infections, Eczema, Emphysema, Nasal Congestion, Psoriasis, Sinus Infections, Snoring, Sore Throat (in addition to many others).
What do I do during the Salt Therapy/Halotherapy session?
We designed our salt cave to help you leave your worries behind with the aid of soft golden lighting from the Himalayan Salt. Salt has the natural ability to balance out the positive charge in our bodies by binding excessive positive ions with the salt’s negative ions. The neutralizing forces of salt can cancel out positive charged and harmful electromagnetic vibrations in our environment as well as in our body. Hence, dry salt therapy has de-stressing and relaxing effects; it is beneficial for calming the nervous system.
You will sit back in a comfortable zero gravity lounge chair with a neck warmer and a blanket while listening to beautiful peaceful music. We encourage this quiet time to be used for relaxation or meditation. This will ensure a quality experience for all in attendance. Some people fall asleep during their sessions!
What should I wear during the Salt Therapy/Halotherapy session?
Wear comfortable clothing to ensure a relaxing session. The Salt Cave/room maintains a temperature of approximately 68F and 40-50% humidity. It is necessary to wear clean white socks. We will have shoe covers for those who forget to bring socks. Nudity is not allowed in the cave as the cave holds up to 6 people per session.
How long are the Salt Therapy/Halotherapy sessions?
All sessions are 45 minutes long and begin on the hour every hour.
What time should I arrive for my Salt Therapy/Halotherapy Session?
It is highly recommended that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. This will give you time to fill out paperwork as well as visit the restroom.
What will happen if I arrive late to my scheduled Salt Therapy/Halotherapy Session?
Arriving promptly for your session is imperative, as once the session has begun, out of respect for those already enjoying the effects, we do not interrupt the session that has started. If you cannot arrive on time, we will need to reschedule for the next available opening.
What is The Salt Cave Cancellation Policy?
Scheduled therapies are reserved for you and a 24-hour notice is required to cancel any service with no charge. If your appointment is not cancelled within this notification period, your appointment is considered confirmed. If changes or cancellations are made after the 24-hour time frame you are subject to a charge for each service.
Are food or drinks allowed during the Salt Therapy/Halotherapy Session?
No food or water is permitted in the Salt Cave/room.
What are the side effects of Salt Therapy/Halotherapy Sessions?
Typically, there are none. Few individuals might experience a dry throat or mild tickle in the throat. Some may experience an increase in cough due to an excess mucus buildup. This is an indication the therapy is working. Other effects might be a slight skin irritation or red patches for those with hypersensitive skin; however, they go away after a few sessions.
How often should I do Salt Therapy/Halotherapy?
It can vary depending on your individual health condition and how well your own body responds to salt therapies. Some clients notice a difference after just a few sessions. For general well-being, respiratory and skin hygiene, it is recommended to visit 1 to 2 times a week. For chronic respiratory and skin conditions, it is recommended to visit frequently and consistently 3 to 4 times a week for the first 4 to 6 weeks. We have packages and memberships to accommodate your needs.
Who should not do Salt Therapy/Halotherapy?
We recommend that you consult with your doctor or physician if you have any concerns before starting Salt/Halotherapy. Halotherapy is recognized as safe and effective wellness practice for preventive and restorative health care. It is not a medical treatment and does not offer a cure. Halotherapy is not recommended for people with contagious diseases, fever, open wounds, chronic kidney diseases, cardiac insufficiency and coronary diseases, cancer, uncontrolled hypertension, intoxication and active tuberculosis. Salt therapy is not recommended during chemotherapy as the detoxification process of dry salt therapy may react with the chemo.
Do you take walk in clients?
Because space in the cave is limited, we strongly encourage visitors to book in advance. That said, if there are open slots as of 15 minutes prior to the start of a session, we will gladly accept walk-ins. Keep in mind that we cannot open the cave once a session has started, so late arrivals or walk-ins who check in past the top of the hour will be asked to wait for the next available slot.
Are there other services I can choose with my Salt Session?
Yes! We offer 20-minute foot reflexology sessions while you are in the salt cave. We also offer 30 minutes and 1-hour massage or reflexology sessions before or after your salt cave session. Be sure to check our calendar for availability or call us for options.
Can I book a private session in the cave?
Yes, you can! The cave is available to rent for private therapy sessions, yoga classes, bachelorette parties, birthday parties, business meetings, children’s gatherings and other uses. Call for further details and available times.

We have 6 zero gravity chairs in the cave. Alternate configuration (e.g., fewer chairs, floor seating) can be arranged for private sessions, parties or special events.
How was the Salt Cave constructed?

Only the highest quality salt from Pakistan was used to construct the cave. A great deal of love and care went into creating this amazing Salt Cave!
